I’m Hoshi Hana
a Japanese American designer and multi-media artist from Los Angeles, California. I enjoy experimenting with a wide variety of mediums. My works are in paper collage, decoupage, paint, and multi-media projection as well as black and white, slide, and C-41 color photography. For the past decade I’ve mostly worked in digital formats using Adobe creative suite software: Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and After Effects. Recently, I’ve begun venturing back into analogue works recycling materials and repurposing them into jewelry, collages, and shadow boxes.
Just as I enjoy experimenting with mediums, I like to craft multi-layered meanings into my work. Overall, I create with the intention of contributing to a more peaceful and harmonious universe for all – with my own funky, quirky twist. Personal growth, inner truth, healing, gratitude, spirituality, and love are themes often explored in my work.
