It’s hard to believe it has been 8 months since my last update here on Hoshi Hana.
Over the past several months, much of my time has gone toward balancing family responsibilities, maintaining home life, and continuing my full-time teaching career while also learning the realities of running a small independent artist business.

I’m very happy to share that Hoshi Hana achieved Etsy Star Seller status during this time. Reaching that goal was both exciting and challenging, requiring me to quickly learn how to fulfill orders within Etsy’s shipping deadlines while maintaining customer service standards and continuing promotion efforts. The experience taught me a great deal about consistency, scheduling, and the amount of work that goes into maintaining an online shop.

I’ve also continued fundraising efforts through my Hoshi Hana Etsy Shop in support of the San Francisco Mime Troupe, with $248.62 donated from shop proceeds so far. Supporting free public arts programming and political satire through independent art remains deeply meaningful to me. (See screen shots of donation acknowledgments )
Right now I’m preparing a new fundraiser featuring additional tassel earrings along with upcoming Mizuhiki accessories integrating traditional Japanese knot symbolism with contemporary materials and color combinations.
Thank you for continuing to support and follow Hoshi Hana. More updates soon.
