So excited to announce that my piece, Center was chosen as part of a collage themed art show curated by Bernadette McConnell, titled Measure Twice Cut Once at the fantastic La Luz de Jesus Gallery (the birthplace of pop surrealism) located at 4633 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027. Whatever the outcome of this year’s election, if you are in L.A., let’s gather in community at the opening day party on Friday, November 8 from 7 to 11pm. I’d love to see you there. If you can’t make it to the opening, the show will be up through December 1st and will be sure to inspire with the marvel of the paper cut collage medium.
How I got in: This summer as I started to organize my art materials, beautiful pieces of Japanese washi paper, scraps of fortunes and good luck images appeared and I started making collages out of paper as a new series of work. I am so proud to be a part of this show! This will be the first time I’m showing work at my favorite art space in Los Angeles, the iconic, La Luz de Jesus Gallery. There are so many wonderful collages that are part of the show.
